You can choose to use the included domain: yourname.sites.modernlogic.io or you can upgrade to use a custom domain name like yourname.com.
When you launch, we’ll also give you the QR code that points to your website. You’ll be able to use this on business cards and postcards to help people get to your site quickly and easily.
- Home Page: Your site will include a home page which can feature your artist statement, description of your work, featured images, a photo of you or your studio.
- Portfolio Page: A gallery of your work with captions.
- Contact Page: Your contact and studio information with a built in contact form.
No. Because our sites are built by designers, each one is customized just for you. If you want to switch, there would be an additional design fee.
We have an onboarding form that will walk you through everything we need. It is saved as you go, so you don’t have to have everything ready to upload all at once. You’ll upload images, add text like your artist statement and descriptions of your work, and choose your template and styles. Once you have everything complete, then you hit submit to send it to us so we can get started.
Our designers will get to work and will have a preview of the site for you to look at within 7 business days. You can make changes for the next 14 days and once you’ve approved it, you are ready to launch.
It’s easy, just fill out a form or send an email to our help desk. Your subscription includes six basic edits per year which can include text updates, new links, adding and removing images. If you need more changes, it’s no problem, there’s just an additional hourly charge.
Generally it takes 3 business days, although often we will get it done much faster. If it is urgent, please let us know in your ticket and we’ll do our best to help you out.
Yes! When you complete the onboarding form, there is a whole section to choose colors, fonts and add your logo.
Yes! There is a section on the onboarding form to add any social media links you’d like to include.
You can have up to 1GB of files, or roughly 200 images. If you need more space, we have upgraded storage available.
MLA for Artists does not include a shopping cart. We can add a link to your Etsy shop, Kofi, Square or other online shop. If you’d like to add commerce to your site, we can help you do that.
MLA is powered by one of the world’s premier web platforms, WPEngine. All Modern Logic for Artists sites include automatic security updates, daily backups, and uptime monitoring. In the unlikely event of a momentary outage, we’ll work with our partners at WPEngine to resolve it as quickly as possible.
SEO is about quality content. The more descriptive the text you provide to us about your art and what you do, the more keywords there are on your site and the more Google and other search engines will be able to understand what you do.
Yes! It includes a SSL security certificate and is continuously updated with the latest security patches. We will take care of that behind the scenes so you don’t have to.
